Carpenters Workshop Gallery
Historical Artists

For over three years, I worked at Carpenters Workshop Gallery as a Special Projects Manager, supporting and leading initiatives driven by the founders’ vision. As part of a broader initiative to integrate vintage design into its programme, Carpenters Workshop Gallery began developing a dedicated collection and internal team focused on sourcing, restoring, and exhibiting vintage works—formally establishing this new direction under the name Historical Artists

The Female Voice in Modern Design: 1950s - 2000s

[New York, 2022]

Project Manager for The Female Voice in Modern Design: 1950s to 2000s, a landmark exhibition curated by Daniella Ohad at Carpenters Workshop Gallery New York. This was the gallery’s first historical artist exhibition, the result of a year-long effort involving the development of the ‘Hostorical Artists’ department, strategic sourcing, restoration, and consignment of works by key female designers across five decades.

    01: Exhbition End-to-End Project Management

Project managed the execution of the exhibition, coordinating closely with overseas teams, curators, and directors.

    • Oversaw every stage of the exhibition process, including procurement, production, and communication
    • Managed budget (CAPEX), contract negotiations, and detailed retro-planning
    • Maintained and nurtured stakeholder relationships through collaboration with external partners
    • Coordinated with galleries and artists involved in the project
    • Communicated effectively with creative and communications teams to ensure alignment

    02: Language and DNA Development

This expansion required validating the product’s necessity, positioning it within the CWG universe, and articulating a language unique to its identity.

    • Collaborated with production and marketing teams to develop a distinctive language across online, offline, and exhibition formats
    • Communicated closely with sales teams to introduce the new venture effectively
    • Project managed directors’ demands regarding product approach, sales strategy, ensuring alignment and timely execution

    03: Operations and Digital Infrastucture

Integrating ‘Historical Artists’ while conceiving a new exhibition allowed for the rapid and precise identification of what needed to be implemented or adjusted — followed by the swift execution of those changes.

    • Collaborated with internal teams and external partners to define operational and technical requirements
    • Designed and implemented new internal workflows and processes to improve efficiency
    • Managed the procurement and cataloguing of new artworks
    • Coordinated across financial, sales, production teams, and developers to ensure all requirements were met accurately and on schedule
